Mason County is known for its champion wrestlers but those champions have to start somewhere, like the Mason County Youth Wrestling League. League sign ups have been ongoing with the last chance to do so slated for 6-7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 16 at the Hartley Wrestling Building on the campus of Point Pleasant High School. The cost is $45 per child or $60 per family. Pictured are scenes from some young though seasoned grapplers getting pointers from PPHS Wrestling Coach John Bonecutter. Last night’s practice took place at the Hartley Wrestling Building, a relatively new facility which was built with not only PPHS wrestlers in mind, but future champions of all ages. Any questions about sign ups, contact Bonecutter at (304) 593-1562.
