James L. Durst, Jr., 38, of Point Pleasant, passed away at his residence on Sunday, February 19, 2012. James was a pilot with Ingram Barge Company. He was born on September 27, 1973, in Gallipolis, Ohio, a son to James L. Durst, Sr. and Jeanetta Plants.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wesley and Luella Plants; paternal grandmother, Elva (Riffle) Durst; sister, Kimberly Dawn Cottrill; and brother, Bryan M. Durst.

In addition to his parents, James is survived by his wife, Dana “Dee Dee” (Sword) Durst, of Point Pleasant; his children, J.D. and Caitlyn Durst, both at home; his paternal grandfather, Clarence Durst, of Leon; nephews, Jared Anthony Kirker and Derek Wesley Kirker; and several uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.

James’ life will be remembered at 1 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2012, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
