Hope Roush/photo - This week marks National Homelessness Awareness Week in Mason County. To promote awareness of the cause, Sheila Carlisle, coordinator of the Mason County Shelter, will distribute purple and orange bows, which are the colors that represent homelessness and hunger, to various area businesses. The bows were donated by Four Seasons. Pictured from left are Vicki Krebs of the Point Pleasant Housing Authority; Ann McCoy, Section Eight coordinator; Carlisle; Elizabeth Gerlach of Pleasant Valley Apartments; and Janet Selby, Shelter Plus care coordinator.
