In an effort to promote a healthier community, the local Fruth Pharmacy store, located at 2501 Jackson Ave. in Point Pleasant, is hosting a health fair. The event is slated to take place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9.
The health fair will feature a variety of health screenings. Representatives of Beltone Hearing Aid Center, Pleasant Valley Hospital and Abbott and Sanofi-aventis will all be present at the fair. In addition, both vision and hearing tests will be administered. Also, door prizes will be given throughout the day. Other activities include face painting.
The first 120 customers who participate in the health fair will receive free Fruth Pharmacy tote bags, which include various product samples.
