Nibert named to All-State Band


Gretchen Nibert recently achieved a second year in All-State Band. Nibert plays the euphonium and trumpet in the Point Pleasant High School Black Knight Band and is also this year’s field commander. She also participates in the newly formed show ensemble that travels to Disney World this month; was a soloist in the Black Knight Revue; plays in jazz and concert bands; and is a member of the choir. Nibert is also active in National Honor Society and Student Council, is a mat maid for PPHS wrestling, a Girls State delegate, member of YLA and attends the University of Rio Grande, where she has participated in the Symphonic Band. She is the daughter of Tim and Vanessa Nibert. She’s a student of PPHS Band Director Ben Loudin and Assistant Director Chip Hendricks.
