POINT PLEASANT — Some sophomores and freshmen at PPJ/SHS recently supported a project called Operation Care Package.

The project provided support in supplying and preparing the care packages sent to a unit of the 1st Infantry Division that was deployed overseas. Operation Care Package gave students an understanding of their civic responsibilities and provided an excellent community service project for all involved both students and faculty, according to Kevin Compston, PPJ/SHS special education co-teacher.

Supporting the project were: Resource Officer Ronnie Spencer, Dakota McNutt, Colton McCoy, Brianna Craig, Brittany Ferrell, Nicholas Rogers, Brody Jeffers, Kevin Compston, Shirley Billings, Justin Payton, Dominic Wallace, Colby Workman, Shilee Myers, Nate Benson, Aaron Bush, Kia Dailey, Chance Martin, Kayla Rowley, Kim Napora, Mayor Brian Billings, and the Point Pleasant Police Department.
