POINT PLEASANT — The Haer Bears 4H club held their monthly meeting July 3 at Bellemead Church.
The meeting was called to order by club president Alexis Thomas. Songs and pledges were led by the leaders. Devotions were given by Emmalea Warden. The secretary report was given by Josie Hill. The treasurer report was given by Kamille Bonecutter.
The leader’s report was given by Lisa Arbogast. Club members were informed of the dates for Alpha Camp. They were also invited to a roadblock to benefit the dining hall on July 9 from 10 a.m. to noon. The fair will be Aug. 8-13, with a bake sale to be held Saturday morning to benefit the dining hall. Requirements for fair passes was also discussed.
Old business discussed was 4H camp and the Regatta parade. A special talk was given by Kenly Arbogast about her recent trip to Washington, D.C., for 4H Leadership Focus Week.
New business discussed was the Senior Citizens lunch, a trip to Chief Logan State Park, Adopt-a-Highway and the fair parade.
The health officer report was given by Ethan Kincaid. Project demonstrations were given. Care of the flowerbeds at the Medal of Honor park for the month of July are Kenly Arbogast and Faith Cook. The Meals on Wheels project and the refreshments were provided by Alexis Thomas. The meeting was adjourned with the next meeting to be held September 4 at 3:00.
