Main Street Baptist Church will host its second annual Pig Roast and Celebration this Sunday from 6-8 p.m.
This free event is open to the community and will include the roasted pig prepared by Cam Delhoste, along with side dishes and “homemade” ice cream with a variety of toppings.
Also included in the activities for the evening will be games for kids, cornhole and horse shoe pitching for all ages, a hay ride and music provided by Robert Fulton (a former member of “Gold City” quartet, “Palmetto State” quartet and “Forgiven 4”). Also performing will be “Living Proof,” a locally known gospel group. Members of “Living Proof” include Denise Bonecutter, Sarah Absten, Joyce Banks and John Bonecutter. “Living Proof” has recently released a new recording that will be available for purchase.
Main Street Baptist Church is located at the corner of 11th and Main streets in Point Pleasant and the “pig roast” will be held outdoors on the lawn at the corner of 11th and Viand streets. There will be some seating, although visitors may wish to bring lawn chairs. In case of rain, the event will be indoors at the church.
People with questions should contact the church office at 304-675-4061.
