Accident

GALLIPOLIS FERRY — The Mason County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a motor vehicle accident which occurred around 5:45 p.m. on W.Va. 2 in the Gallipolis Ferry area on Tuesday. At least two people were taken from the scene to Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH) for treatment of injuries and were later released. Two of those injured and later released from CHH were identified as Brian Billings, mayor of Point Pleasant and his wife Shirley Billings, according to the sheriff’s department. The accident report was being completed at press time with more information to follow.
