POINT PLEASANT — It’s been said Santa knows who has been naughty and nice.

Now, so does Peoples Bank.

Peoples Bank has started its “Season of Giving” campaign to give back to local individuals making a difference within their families and communities.

All nomination letters were to be 25o words or less and received by Nov. 23 with four nominees receiving a $500 Visa prepaid gift card from Peoples Bank for Christmas.

This week’s winner of the “Season of Giving” is Randi Williams, of Point Pleasant, who was nominated by Brandy Barkey Sweeney.

According to Barkey Sweeney’s nomination letter summary provided by Peoples Bank, Williams was chosen due to the following:

Williams is a single mother who strives to provide for her children. She maintains two jobs in order to care for her three teenagers, one of which has special needs.

Williams’ special needs daughter requires extra time and care to make certain she has everything she needs developmentally, socially, and emotionally. Williams has never allowed her children to sit on the sidelines. She has made certain her special needs daughter is very active and participates in many activities. Her daughter has been a cheerleader, played soccer, attends Bible school, church youth group events, takes an animal to the fair, and more. Williams’ boys are also very active playing school sports and participating in extra-curricular activities.

Williams always thinks of others from her children to her co-workers. Friends have witnessed her buying clothes for a co-worker’s child because they needed a little help at the time.

Life hasn’t been perfect for Williams but she never complains about having to work two jobs to make ends meet. To her it’s just part of taking care of her children and making certain they have everything they need to succeed in school and life.

More on the other three winners of the “Season of Giving” in upcoming editions.
