New Haven issues building permits

NEW HAVEN — A number of building permits were issued at the most recent meeting of the New Haven Town Council.

Permits were approved for Chas Young for tree removal; Old Ash Village for a complete renovation; Kathleen Roush to patch a roof; and Pete Burris to replace a roof.

In other action, the council:

Discussed a temporary replacement worker for an employee who is off on workers’ compensation, due to a knee injury;

Agreed to allow Chasity Young to be a member of the town appeals board;

Discussed the recent Christmas parade and craft bazaar; and,

Approved the accounts payable, financial report and minutes of the previous meeting.

Attending were Mayor Charles Yonker, Recorder Roberta Hysell, and council members Jessica Howard, Amy Gordon, Smitty Jarrell, Ken Vickers and Jim Elias.

The next council meeting is set for Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016.
