Mason County EMS

Mason County EMS reports the following run report for May 6-12: Mason County EMS was toned out a total of 114 times; 44 patients were taken to the area hospitals, 23 to PVH, three to St. Mary’s Hospital, seven to Cabell Huntington Hospital, 11 to HMC-G, these include transports as well as emergencies.

Station 100 had 61 calls, Station 200 had 19 calls and Station 500 had 34, these include transports as well as emergencies. Out of the 113 that all three stations made, five were cancelled en-route, 11 patients refused care, and 91 were transported to area hospitals, three no patient contact and one fire stand by and two ALS assists for a BLS squad.

Out of the 113 Emergencies that were transport to an area hospital or to a specialized hospital EMS had 17 general medical, three abdominal pain, four altered mental status, five breathing problems, three chest pains, one diabetic emergency, two fall victim, one head injury, one childbirth, one psychiatric problems, one overdose, one stroke.

There were five ALS transports, four to Cabell Huntington Hospital and two to St. Mary’s Hospital. There were 51 BLS transports, from PVH to PVNRC there were eight transports, to Arbours there were four, to Lakin there were three, Holzer Medical Center Rehab there were two, HMC Psych there was one, back to residence there were two, Marietta there was one, and 30 transports to and back from dialysis centers.

Point Pleasant Police Department

The Point Pleasant Police Department recently submitted its monthly activity report for April as follows: 28 citations issued; 11 misdemeanor arrests made; 15 accident reports taken; 26 complaint reports filed. Arrested and transported to the Western Regional Jail by PPPD personnel were: James Artis, driving revoked DUI first offense; Brandon Roush, disorderly conduct, public intoxication; Douglas Bloomer, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, possession of controlled substance without prescription; Robert Stewart, public intoxication, obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct, possession of controlled substance; Lora Terry, battery; Sarah Forney, warrant petit larceny; Ricky Gleason, obstructing officer.
