Henderson election set for June 14

HENDERSON — Voters in Henderson are preparing to go the polls for the town’s regularly scheduled general election on June 14, nearly a year after its special election in 2015.

Up for grabs will be seats for mayor, clerk and five council seats.

Incumbents running in the election on June 14 are: Mayor Jack McCoy; Clerk Carolyn McCoy; Council members Rex Patterson, William Moore, Sheila Moore, Greg Winston. Stanley Cook is a new face running for George Neal’s council seat. Neal did not seek reelection.

Also, filing as an official write-in candidate for city council, is former mayor, Tony Cox.

Those who are elected on June 14 will serve four-year terms starting July 1. Early voting will also be available with dates soon to be announced in the Point Pleasant Register and at the Henderson Town Hall.

Voting in the regularly scheduled general election will take place at the Henderson Community Building.
