Scenes from ‘Family Fun Day’ in Mason


The bounce house provided entertainment for the many little ones who attended the Family Fun Day at the Stewart-Johnson V.F.W./Lottie Jenks Memorial Park on Saturday.


Homemade ice cream was a special treat offered by members of the Mason Volunteer Fire Department at the Family Fun Day Saturday.


It was a very cool way to beat the heat at the Mason Family Fun Day, as Trey Gilkey, left, and Tyler Dennis, center, try their feet at picking up marbles in a pool filled with ice. Also pictured is Trish Gilkey, who oversaw the game.


Free cookies, ice pops, juice and water were handed out to the children attending Family Fun Day in Mason on Saturday.


They not only volunteer their time to fight fires, but also to raise funds, as members of the Mason Fire Department served up hotdogs and ice cream at the Mason Family Fun Day on Saturday. Firefighters Austin Ohlinger and Steven Darst wait on patron Jan Nance at the park.


The line was constant at the inflatable water slide Saturday at Mason’s Family Fun Day. All entertainment and games were provided free for those attending.


“Face Painting by Jody Rife” was a popular activity at Saturday’s Mason Family Fun Day, held at the Stewart-Johnson V.F.W./Lottie Jenks Memorial Park. Games, inflatables, and free refreshments were all part of the afternoon.


The Mason Volunteer Fire Department handed out coloring books, crayons, and other items to children attending Family Fun Day in Mason. The fire department members also sold hotdogs and homemade ice cream as a fundraiser.


Water games were popular at Mason’s Family Fun Day. Teams lined up with water-soaked sponges to see who could first fill the buckets on the other end in this relay.


Southern barbecue was a hit at the Mason Family Fun Day Saturday, as Cornfeds offered sandwiches, drinks and other items.
