Preparing for a new school year in Mason County

Gone are the days when school started after Labor Day; just ask parents and teachers. On Tuesday, students attending Point Pleasant Primary School were treated to a back-to-school bash, pictured, which included a superhero theme and plenty of prize giveaways for the kids. The bash allowed students and their families a chance to meet with school staff and get familiar with PPPS. The Point Pleasant Fire Department, local businesses and organizations also donated their time to be a part of the event. School begins in Mason County for most students on Thursday.
