Supporters of Point Pleasant High School’s Big Blacks Football Team came out on Thursday for a community pep rally thrown at Point Pleasant Junior/Senior High School. Visitors were given free tailgating food and then led into the auditorium to cheer on the team and watch special multi-media presentations of this season’s highlights. Pictured are members of the Big Blacks predicting many “first downs” during Friday night’s contest at home against Wheeling Park. Also pictured, some of the PPHS Cheerleaders who helped get the crowd in a cheering mood and PPHS Head Football Coach David Darst speaking to those who attended the rally. PPJ/SHS Principal William Cottrill was the night’s emcee.
