Less than an hour into the Presbyterian Church’s Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Tuesday, nearly 245 free meals had already been served. Pictured are church members and volunteers serving the traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes and rolls. Taking care of the refreshments are Boy Scouts from Troop #259 from Heights United Methodist Church. The annual dinner is free to all and everyone, from every walk of life, attends to break bread, including Pauline Ash, 1 and William Sargent, 5, both of Henderson. According to church volunteers they give “the glory to God” when it comes to pulling off the meal and the fellowship, each year.
