It’s beginning to look a lot like 1977 when the Ohio River froze over. Pictured are scenes from Point Pleasant’s Riverfront Park along the Ohio River on Tuesday. Thanks to extremely cold temperatures, ice is beginning to accumulate near the banks of both sides of the mighty river making for a beautiful though freezing sight! Temperatures are expected to warm up all the way into the mid 40’s on Saturday which will feel like the middle of August (ok, not quite) to many, after subzero readings on the thermometer. Today’s high is expected to climb all the way to 18.
