HARTFORD — All water customers serviced by Hartford are still under a boil water advisory.

On Monday afternoon, the town of Hartford, in collaboration with the Mason County Emergency Management Agency, reiterated the boil water advisory was still in effect for residents until further notice. In addition, residents are also asked to conserve water until further notice.

When it comes to boiling the water, it should be brought to a rapid boil for two minutes before using it for cooking, drinking, brushing teeth, etc.

Crews continue to work to repair multiple leaks and to restore water service to the customers as soon as possible.

Customers may take containers to the Mason or New Haven Fire Departments between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily to obtain additional water as needed. If residents get water from the hydrant at the mayor’s office, please be advised that it needs to be boiled too.
