LETART — West Virginia State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man following the discovery of a woman shot to death in Letart.

According to Lt. Michael Baylous of WVSP, troopers are looking for Charles E. Anderson, 57, 6’2”, 230 lbs., grey gair, brown eyes. He may be driving a 2008 grey Chevrolet Silverado extended cab, with West Virginia registration OHX-820.

On Wednesday, Aug. 13, Troopers assigned to the Mason County Detachment of the West Virginia State Police discovered a deceased female at a residence located on Backwaters Drive, in Letart. It is believed that the victim died from a gunshot wound. The victim’s name has not yet been released.

Anderson is wanted for questioning concerning this incident and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is requested to contact their nearest detachment of the West Virginia State Police by telephone, which in Mason county is 304-675-0850.
