ROCKSPRINGS, Ohio — All good things must come to an end.

The Meigs volleyball team’s four match winning steak was snapped Thursday night as the Maroon and Gold dropped a Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division match to guest Nelsonville-York in four games.

The Lady Marauders (4-1, 1-1 TVC Ohio) took a 25-22 win in the opening game, but the Lady Buckeyes rallied back to take the second game 25-23. NYHS stormed to a 25-11 win in the third game, while marking a 25-18 win in the fourth game to secure the victory.

The Lady Marauders were led by Devyn Oliver with four service points and Brook Andrus with three. Kelsey Hudson marked two points on serves, while Hannah Cremeans had one. The MHS net attack was led by Andrus with 12 kills, followed by Amanda Cole with seven, Cremeans with five and Hudson with four. Oliver and Ariel Ellis each marked two kills in the setback. Oliver had a team-high 13 assists, Lindsay Patterson added seven and Ellis chipped in with three.

The Lady Marauders return to action on Wednesday at River Valley.
