“Frankenstorm,” which includes Hurricane Sandy, was expected to affect Mason County Monday evening and Tuesday. Rain, light snow and wind gusts of around 30 mph were expected to settle into the area — wind gusts were nearly 60 mph when the June windstorm blew into the county. Still, residents are asked to be prepared should the power go out. Monday afternoon the wind was already whipping the American and state flags here at Tu-Endie-Wei State Park.
