Glen “Pete” Stone, 76, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2012.
He was born Feb. 16, 1938, at Baileysville to the late George W. and Ruth Lusk Stone.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He liked to attend community activities such as going to church services and playing bingo. He worked for United Producers Gas Company and was a barber for over 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Jean Morgan; and three brothers, Donald Lee Stone, Carmel “Mick” Stone and Lindell Stone.
Those left to cherish his memory include Vickie Exline and husband, John of Crab Orchard; granddaughters, Teresa Keys and husband, Kenny of Crab Orchard, and Candy Cooper and husband, Bobby of Saulsville; great-grandchildren, Kolton Keys of Crab Orchard and Benjamin Cooper of Saulsville; a sister, Judith Echard of Brenton; four brothers, Jimmy Stone and wife, Maxine of Fredericksburg, Va., Calvin “Mike” Stone and wife, Barbara of Stafford, Va.; Wendell Stone of Fredericksburg, Va., and Dewayne Stone and companion, Sheila Lester of Dillwyn, Va.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Glen “Pete” Stone will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, with Rev. Timmy Brewster officiating. Friends may gather at the funeral home at noon.
