Joan Louise (Johnson) King, 77, of New Haven, passed away Dec. 5, 2012, surrounded by family at Holzer Medical Center after complications from an extended illness.
She was the daughter of the late Lester and Mildred Johnson. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margie Rickard, Betty Call and Donna Gavin.
She is survived by brothers Jack Johnson of Meptropolis, Ill. and Jammie Ohlinger of Pinellas Park, Fla. She was the beloved wife of Ross O’Dell King who preceded her and the mother of Debra (Bob) Roush, Yalanda (Steve) Holsclaw and Michael (Lurinda) King. She is survived by the joys of her life, grandchildren Bobby (Beth) Roush, Christine (Heath) Rickard, Aaron (Audrey) Holsclaw, Brian and Tyler Holsclaw, Kendra (Kurt) Palmer, Sarah (Adam) Bonecutter and her precious great-grandchildren, Tristen and Kaycee Roush, Chloe Rickard, Kirtlyn and Kyndal Palmer, Clayton, Callie Jo and Owen Bonecutter. She is also survived by many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Foglesong-Roush Funeral Home in Mason. Visitation will be prior to the service from noon to 2 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Jason Simpkins of Soul Harvest Church. Burial will follow at the Sunrise Cemetery in New Haven.
