POINT PLEASANT — With the excessive sunshine and the temperatures in the 60s on Tuesday, it came as no surprise that Mason County residents would make a trip out to Krodel Park. It was a big day for siblings, as brothers, Clifford and Wendell Wilcoxen tried their hand at fishing, and sisters Kenly and Kinzy Arbogast attempted a visit with the many geese hanging around the water. Reportedly, Wednesday’s temperature is predicted to reach nearly 70, so one can assume citizens will again make their rounds to the “nice day” hot spots around town, like Krodel Park.

It'd really be nice to have the park updated with new playground equipment and swings for the children. The equipment they have now is outdated and hazardous to small kids. I have to lift my two year old up each time for one "slide" because there is no other way for him to climb onto the playground. There are no swings at all. They'd enjoy their days even more if they had more to offer.
