After many local and traveling spectators visited the various light displays depicting the birth of Christ as well as Santa Claus and Mothman during the Fantasy Light Show at Krodel Park, came the time for the illuminated creations to pack up and wait for next December to arrive. City workers began taking down the lights Wednesday afternoon, beginning by removing the canopy-like displays that stretched across the road leading through the park and their supports, with a little help from a chain and a bulldozer. In addition to this light show, which ran from Dec. 1-31, 2012, the West Virginia State Farm Museum recently closed their light display featuring similar displays as well as decorated antique farm machinery and historical building replicas.
