Arrests

The Mason County Sheriff’s Department reports the following arrests: Ernest M. Roach, 35, Racine, Ohio, capias, bailpiece, receiving and transferring stolen goods, failure to stop at stop sign, fleeing with no vehicle, fleeing with vehicle with property damage, arrested by Home Confinement Officer Wilt. Rodney G. Lemieux, 43, Gallipolis Ferry, driving revoked DUI, first offense, arrested by Lt. Greene. Roxanne Russell, 22, Point Pleasant, capias, arrested by Deputy McCormick. Ashley M. Hurt, 30, Apple Grove, driving while DUI revoked second offense, arrested by Cpl. Powell. Michael Jordan, 33, Buffalo, driving DUI revoked, arrested by Sgt. Varian. Jeremy Brannon, 36, Point Pleasant, capias, arrested by Cpt. Peterson. Ronald E. Harris, 47, Leon, obstruction of officer, battery on officer, domestic battery, arrested by Deputy Gilley. Bryan A. Jones, 22, Point Pleasant, DUI first offense, arrested by Sgt. Varian.

Circuit Court

The following cases were recently heard by Judge David W. Nibert in Mason County Circuit Court according to the court docket filed in the office of Circuit Clerk Bill Withers: Timothy J. Blake, extradition hearing, state of Ohio recalled warrant and case dismissed, defendant released. State v. Anthony Yester, hearing on revocation of home confinement, home confinement was revoked and defendant served two weeks in jail with credit for time served, upon release from jail on Jan. 22, defendant’s home confinement was to be reinstated. State v. Shane A. Meadows, status hearing regarding bond, defendant did not appear, capias warrant issued. State v. Megan Hammack, status hearing regarding bond, defendant posted bond.

The trial of State v. Ronald Blanchard of Point Pleasant which was slated to begin Jan. 22 has been continued to 9:30 a.m., Feb. 12. Blanchard was indicted by the May 2012 grand jury and charged with operate a clandestine drug laboratory, possession of altered pseudoephedrine, conspiracy.
