POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant Sternwheel Regatta is less than two weeks away.

As previously reported, this year the Regatta Committee secured up and coming County Music Star Kip Moore as the main attraction for a free performance at 8 p.m., Thursday, June 28 at Riverfront Park. Moore has had a recent number one hit on the county charts with “Somethin’ Bout a Truck.”

In addition to Moore, plenty of other performers have been booked for free concerts, including the 60’s and 70’s rock tribute group The Devonshires and American Idol Finalist Chase Likens.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the regatta without those fireworks which this year take place at 10 p.m., Saturday June 30 at Tu-Endie-Wei State Park.

The following list is a full itinerary of this year’s Regatta events:

Thursday, June 28 - 5 p.m., Regatta Queen Pageant, Trinity United Methodist Church, new gymnasium; 5 p.m., Regatta Teen pageant, Trinity United Methodist Church, new gymnasium; 7 p.m., Striking Matches opens up for Kip Moore who performs at 8 p.m. at Riverfront Park.
