POINT PLEASANT — The City of Point Pleasant will once again sponsor the free summer-long concert series Mayor’s Night Out at Riverfront Park.

The concerts are held from 8-10 p.m. each Friday night, June 7 through Aug. 30 with the exceptions of regatta and fair weekends. There are 11 artists booked for this year’s concert series.

“We will begin on our Mayor’s Night Out concert series Friday, June 7 with Dub V’s, one of this area’s premier bands,” Mayor Brian Billings said. “We are very fortunate to be able to have this concert series in our community. This year our lineup consists of Top 40, Rock, Country, Bluegrass and Gospel. There is no charge to come and enjoy an evening of relaxing music at the Riverfront Park along the shores of the great Ohio River.”

Again, the popular group The Dub V’s will kick off the series with a high energy show of radio rock, pop, and dance music - all of it with their own special twist on each song. The band consists of Joey D, Josh Billings, Ron “Jeremy” Russell and Dana Gillispie.

The Mayor’s Night Out Concert Series Schedule is as follows: June 14, Sheri Dean who performs folk and Bluegrass; June 21, Smith and Company which performs Bluegrass; June 28 Bunkhammer which performs rock and blues; July 12, Four Ever Blessed which performs gospel; July 19, Paul Doeffinger who performs a mix of popular and original tunes; July 26, Gary Tolley who performs a mix of Elvis tunes, 50’s rock, country and beach tunes; Aug. 2, Ivan Smith and Still Water performing Bluegrass; Aug. 16, Modock Rounders performing old time music; Aug. 23, Bill Hawks performing country, rock and a mix of hits; Aug. 30, Two River Junction performing classic country and classic rock.

Again there are no concerts on June 28 (regatta weekend) or Aug. 9 (fair week).
