Preparations have begun for “Midnight in Paris,” which is this year’s theme for the Prom on Friday, April 20, at Point Pleasant Junior/Senior High School. With music from DJ, Soundtastics, and a 17-foot Eiffel Tower, this event looks to be a night to remember. Preparing several glittery decorations are (from left) are Andrea Porter, Ashley McGill, and Clarissa Alabi-Isama, and cutting sheets of decorative paper for the commons area are (from left) Makayla Westfall, Sarah Salyers, Ashley Sayre, and Katie Bruner. Promenade begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, with the prom lasting from 8-11 p.m. There are also after-prom events scheduled from midnight until 2 a.m. at the Silver Screen VII movie theater, and from 2-4 a.m. at Skyline Lanes, both in Gallipolis, Ohio. Parents are also permitted to tour the school and view the decorations from 6:15-6:45 p.m. Those with the prom committee ask that parents park, enter, and exit at the Junior High section.
