MOUNT ORAB, Ohio — The Gallia Academy wrestling team finished seventh out of 24 teams Saturday during the 2016 Hammer and Anvil Invitational held at Western Brown High School in Brown County.

The Blue Devils had five top-five efforts, but zero individual weight class champions, en route to finishing the event with a team tally of 159 points. Oak Hills won the overall crown with 242 points, while Lebanon (209), WBHS (203), Circleville (181) and Clarkston (175) rounded out the top five spots.

Miami East (165) finished six points ahead of GAHS for sixth place, while Campbell County (156.5), Rochester (137) and Simon Kenton (115) respectively completed the top 10 finishes.

Senior Justin Reynolds had the top overall finish for the Blue Devils after placing second at 182 pounds. Sophomore Caleb Greenlee (106), junior Jared Stevens (120) and junior Kaleb Crisenberry (145) each finished third in their weight classes, while senior Anthony Sipple was fifth overall in the 195 division.

Oak Hills and Circleville each had two weight class champions, while Clarkston, Lebanon, Bellbrook, Simon Kenton, Hillsboro, Campbell County, Miami East, Franklin, Western Brown and Clinton-Massie earned one individual crown apiece.
