A pair of Meigs Marauders, and one River Valley Raider, were among the honorees on the 2015-16 All-Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division boys basketball team, which has been announced.

Meigs seniors Kaileb Sheets and Colton Lilly — along with River Valley senior Kirk Morrow — made the all-league list, as Athens and Wellston joined the Marauders with two all-league selections apiece.

Nelsonville-York, like River Valley, earned only one all-TVC-Ohio choice.

This season completes only the Raiders’ second year in the TVC-Ohio.

League champion Vinton County claimed four all-conference spots, while runner-up Alexander amassed three.

Athens junior Griffin Lutz landed Player of the Year honors, while Vinton County coach Matt Combs captured Coach of the Year.

The all-league teams and subsequent top honors are selected by the league’s coaches, as picks are earned based on where a team finishes in the final division standings.

Vinton County won the league with a record of 10-2, as Alexander went 9-3 — with Athens and Meigs each going 8-4.

Wellston was fifth with a 4-8 mark, followed by 2-10 Nelsonville-York and 1-11 River Valley.

For Lilly, he repeated to the all-league team from a year ago, while Sheets — who returned to Meigs for his senior season — was with Wahama last year (2014-15) and made all-TVC-Hocking.

This was Morrow’s first — and final — appearance on all-TVC-Ohio.

Joining Lutz as the only juniors to make all-league were Nelsonville-York’s Hunter Edwards and Vinton County’s Tristan Bartoe and Derick Jones.

All other selections were seniors, including Athens’ Zacciah Saltzman and Vinton County’s Chase Wood.

Lutz and Bartoe both repeated, as did Vinton County senior Jordan Albright — a three-time TVC-Ohio honoree.

Alexander’s three choices were seniors Seth Richardson, Mason Chapman and Corey Chapman, with Richardson and Mason Chapman making the list for the third time.

In addition to repeating this season, Albright, Richardson and Chapman made all-TVC two years ago (2013-14) as well.

Wellston seniors Braydon Womeldorf and Chazz Davis were the Golden Rockets’ pair of picks.
