CHARLESTON, W. Va. — The Wahama High School track and field teams competed on Thursday night at the annual Capital Relays, held inside the University of Charleston Stadium in Charleston.
The White Falcon boys finished eighth out of 21 teams which scored at least one point, posting 24 total.
Winfield was the team champion with 74 points, as Ripley edged out Capital for runner-up honors, 49-48.
The White Falcon girls scored four points.
For the boys, three of Wahama’s relay teams took spots in the top six.
The 4x100m relay team was third in 45.78 seconds, as the 4x200m relay squad was fourth in 1:38.02.
The 4x800m relay foursome was sixth in nine minutes and 37 seconds.
Three Wahama boys scored individual points, as Christopher Hesson was the shot put champion with a meet-best throw of 46-feet and five inches.
