Finding a new adventure on Main Street

Last year, one of the hits of the Mothman Festival was “Hillbilly Zip Lining.” This year, the new festival favorite returns to Main Street, allowing visitors a chance to “fly” above downtown Point Pleasant, much like Mothman was said to have done. Pictured is the zip line from last year’s festival with the Lowe Hotel in the background. The hotel will once again be giving its haunted tours during the festival with all the rooms booked nearly a year in advance with guests from around the country. The festival kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Point Pleasant. Tonight, the Miss Mothman Pageants take place at 7 p.m. at the Trinity Christian Community Center and at 8 p.m., a free screening of the “Eyes of Mothman” documentary will be shown at the State Theater.
