Feline friends ready for adoption

The Mason County Animal Shelter is a place for the county’s unwanted dogs and cats but not a place where they go unloved. In the last couple of years, shelter staff have worked tirelessly with cat and dog rescues to save the lives of many animals when homes can’t be found, but finding forever homes first is the best option for the animals. The shelter currently has several cats and kittens ready for those forever homes. Pictured is Susie, whom shelter staff have come to particularly love. The staff say Susie is one of the sweetest feline friends they have and are looking for a special home for her as well as others pictured inside this edition. The adoption fee is $20 for cats. Hours are noon to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Call 1-304-675-6458 for more information. Also, find the shelter on Facebook for information on cats as well as dogs available for adoption.
