Saying ‘thank you’ to those who served

Veterans Day is this Wednesday, though some folks in Mason County were out Saturday to celebrate early with the Veterans Parade in downtown Point Pleasant. A good crowd came out to stand and salute those who have served their country with this year’s parade having several participants, including marching bands from Point Pleasant High School and Point Pleasant Junior High School, fire departments from Point Pleasant and Flatrock, the Point Pleasant Police Department, churches, royalty from across the county and the Mason-Gallia-Meigs Marine Corps League, pictured here. More on this year’s parade, sponsored by the AMVETS Post 2, in tomorrow’s edition.
