Saturday was the last day for those interested parties to file at their local town hall, and only the Town of Henderson has provided the 2011 list of names as of press time.
According to Mayor Jack McCoy, incumbents who were hoping to withdrawal, now will have to serve another term to “keep the town going.”
This means McCoy will still have his seat as Mayor, Carolyn McCoy - Recorder; and council seats will still be filled by William Carper, Jr., William Moore, Mable Long, Mary E. McCoy and Rex Patterson.
“No one filed this year,” McCoy said. “So we will continue to serve on the Town of Henderson Council.”
