Owen “Ogg” Lee Likens, 73, of Gallipolis Ferry, died peacefully on June 21, 2011 at Holzer Medical Center.

Owen was born April 22, 1938 in Mason County. He was the son of the late Joseph Likens and Leola Ann Clonch Likens. He was a self-employed mechanic.

Preceded in death besides his parents were brothers, Otho Likens and Orville Likens; and a sister, Lita Leport.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cora Hudson Likens of Gallipolis Ferry; son, Steve Allen and his wife (Jodi) Likens of Gallipolis Ferry; grandchildren, Samantha Likens and Chase Likens of Gallipolis Ferry; and special friends, John Hall and his daughter, Jessie; sister, Hazel Neal of Henderson; and his special pet, Dottie.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 24 at the Deal Funeral Home, with Marshall Bonecutter officiating. Burial will be in the Rogers Cemetery in Henderson. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
