UNDATED — West Virginia residents are now able to voice their opinions online in regards to cases pending before the state’s Public Service Commission (PSC).

The commission is now accepting public comments on its Web site, http://www.psc.state.wv.us/. According to the PSC, the online comment option will make it easier for citizen participation.

Residents who use a valid e-mail address can utilize the online option by submitting an electronic letter of support or protest regarding a formal case pending before the commission. General comments also will be accepted. In addition, through the online option, ratepayers will be able to continue to file a request for utility assistance electronically in non-emergency situations.

According to the PSC, the goal of the online feature is to both improve customer service and provide West Virginias with an easier way to submit input on pending cases and the state’s utility process. The commission will review all submitted comments and will continue accepting written comments on formal cases.

To submit a public comment or for more information, visit the Web site, http://www.psc.state.wv.us/.
