Along with the regular awards, Tu-Endie-Wei Garden Club members also are offering a new incentive for the “Yard of the Month” contest. Starting now, at the end of the contest’s judging period season, all monthly winners will be entered into a drawing to receive an original watercolor painting of their residence. The watercolor painting will be created by a local artist.
The “Business in Bloom” winner for the month of July is Brad Deal’s Catering Service, located at 1210 Viand St.
The contest’s next round of judging will be held at the end of the month. In order to qualify for the “Yard of the Month” or “Business in Bloom” award, artificial plants or flowers must not be utilized.
Nominations for both designations can be made by contacting Jeanie Brooks at 304-675-5801; Jane Coles at 304-675-2719; or Leota Sang at 304-675-3278.
