Mitzi Jean Taylor, 75, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born December 3, 1936, in Mason County, a daughter to the late Raymond H. Gibson and Lyda Couch Gibson. She was a retired secretary for Dr. Choi’s office at Pleasant Valley Hospital and was an member of the Eastern Star Chapter Point Pleasant, and The DAR Chapter of Point Pleasant, a 1954 Graduate of Point Pleasant High School, and was a volunteer for the Tourism Center in Point Pleasant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Taylor in 1998; and sisters, Catherine Sue Wilson and Gloria Kines.

She is survived by her loving son, Charles Michael Taylor and his wife Lola of Point Pleasant; grandson; Charles Justin Taylor of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; special friend, Geraldine Duncan of Point Pleasant; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Audrey) Taylor of Gallipolis, Ohio, Larry (Paula) Taylor of Apple Grove, and Roy and Vicki Taylor of Cheshire, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012, in the Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Point Pleasant, with Pastor Greg Collins officiating. Burial will follow the service. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held after the graveside service on Saturday at Maranatha Cornerstone Church, 628 White Church Road, Letart.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society: P.O. Box 726, Point Pleasant, WV. The Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
