Bonnie Katherine Thomas, 71, of Letart, went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2012, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center with her family at her side. She was born March 7, 1940, a daughter to the late Merton Rollins and Bessie Devault Rollins. She was a retired Nurse Technician for Pleasant Valley Hospital after 15 years of service and was a member of Bethel Church in Leon.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in by son-in-law, Marvin Flowers; and brother-in-law, Frank McDade.
She is survived by her special friend, Charles Thomas of Letart; loving son, Charles Thomas II of Letart; loving daughters, Patricia (Marty) Shinn of Mt. Alto, Phyllis Flowers of Letart, Pamela (Glenver) Durst of Leon, and Paula (Brian) King of Letart; sister, Rosalie McDade of Leon; brother, Jimmy (Evelyn) Rollins of Milton; as well as 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastors Joey Thomas, Sampy Hart, and Chris Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery in Leon. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.dealfh.com.
