MASON, W.Va. — With the increase of drug-related problems in the tri-county area, many local groups and organizations are focusing on what can be done to help those affected.
On Thursday evening, the Prayer Task Force will be hosting an event titled, “The Drug Problem in Our Community.”
Pastor Matt Young, a regional leader in combating drugs in small communities, will be the guest speaker.
The event will focus on what can be done about the growing drug problem in our communities and how to become part of the solution.
This is a free event and is open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, at Soul Harvest Church, 1.3 miles north of the Bridge of Honor in Mason, W.Va.
Everyone, including concerned neighbors, family members and those with problems are welcome to attend and learn together.
The goal of the event is to show those who are struggling with addiction that there are those who genuinely care, and there is a way out.
The Prayer Task Force is comprised of community leader and Pastors from Meigs, Mason and Gallia counties.
