Dorothy L. Stover, 82, of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born June 22, 1929, in Mason County, a daughter to the late Early Douglas and Eliza Jane Cossin Hunt. She was a retired seamstress for Quality Manufacturing Plant, Point Pleasant, and Yonker Manufacturing Plant, Point Pleasant, and a member of the Heights United Methodist Church, Mason County Choir, and Pleasant Valley Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bert Stover; son, Larry Wayne Stover; and sister, Doris VanMeter.

She is survived by son Gary Bert Stover III of Vinton, Ohio; his son, Gary Bert Stover IV; daughter, Debra Lynn & (Wayne) McNeal of Fletcher, Ohio; and their son, Brandon Wayne McNeal; sisters, Nellie Jean Bennett of Grafton, Dewilda Ann Bibb of Columbus, Ohio, and Brenda Carol Knight Chaffin of Hamburg, N.Y.; and a special nephew, Richard David Vanmeter of Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Joe Knott officiating. Burial will be in the Creston Cemetery in Leon. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
