Cordelia Byers McCulloch Nibert, 92, of Ashton, passed away Monday April 2, 2012, at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home. She was born September, 19, 1920, in Ashton.
Cordelia was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and she attended WVU. She was a 65 year member of the Colonel Charles Lewis Chapter of the DAR, an 80 year member of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Wohelo Farm Women’s Club.
Cordelia is survived by a daughter, Sharon Lynne Michel (Dan) of Newburgh, Ind.; one son, John Forrest Nibert (Jeannie) of Ashton; four grandchildren, Catherine Michel Kyle, Robert Scott Michel, Christopher Nibert, and Andrew Nibert; five step-grandchildren, Cole Parenti, Seth and Justin Colvin, Ashley Jones, and Beth Sergent; and two great-grandchildren, Cassie and Logan Nibert.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William Forrest Nibert; her parents, John and Sadie McCulloch; and one brother, John McCulloch, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., on Friday, April 6, 2012, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. John Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Beale Chapel Cemetery, in Apple Grove. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, April 5, 2012, at the funeral home.
