He was a retired master mechanic in Huntington, a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Point Pleasant, a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and served in the U.S. Navy.
He was born Oct. 13, 1939 in Milton, a son to the late Benard and Evelyn Ball.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; and sons, Steve Ball and Mark (Susan) Ball both of Huntington; grandchildren, Robbie (Jennifer) Ball of Huntington, Adam Ball of Virginia Beach, Va., Amanda (Peter) Ottaviano of Huntington, Samantha Ball of Proctorville, Ohio, Zac Ball and Tyler Ball both of Huntington; great-grandchildren, Luke Ball and Aubree Ottaviano; brother David (Rosalee) Ball of Virginia Beach; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Dr. Richard Sargent officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
