Charles Edward Jeffers, 68, of Southside, passed away at Pleasant Valley Hospital on August 2, 2012. He was born on October 5, 1943, in Mason County, a son to the late Clate Jeffers and May Gardener Jeffers. He was a self-employed carpenter.
He is preceded in death besides his parents, by brothers, Harold Bailes and Richard Jeffers; and sister, Clara Belle Jeffers.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Jeffers of Southside; sons, Wes Jeffers of Southside and Jason (Sarah) Jeffers of Southside; brothers, Kenneth (Loretta) Jeffers and William Junior Jeffers, both of Southside, and Everett Jeffers of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Brandon and Timmy Jeffers, and Shawn and Jasmine Henry.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2012, at the Jeffers Family Cemetery in Southside, with Bert Flora officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may visit the family from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
