LAKIN — Chad Allen Norton, 25, of Clifton, was arrested Friday by Trooper A.D. Wootton for breaking and entering Spillman Church in West Columbia. He was taken to the Western Regional Jail.

POINT PLEASANT — No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of W.Va. 2 and Ashton Upland Road in Ashton Sunday.
David M. Young of Burton, Ohio, was driving his 2003 Toyota Matrix when he lost control and struck the front porch of a house. Sgt. Robbie Fruth investigated.
• John C. Johnson, 47, of Leon, was arrested by Patrolman Terry Powell on charges of DUI, driving while DUI revoked and five warrants for worthless checks.
• James S. McKinney, 54, of Crown City, Ohio, was arrested by Senior Deputy Robert Glenn on a charge of DUI -first offense.
