The accident happened around 3 a.m. Members of the EMS crew were preparing to respond to another accident call when they heard the crash.
According to officials, the man was killed instantly and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Members of the Mason County Sheriff’s Department are continuing their investigation. Firefighters with the Valley Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene, as did Medical Examiner Rita Chapman.
