Geraldine Collins Jones Phillips, 95, formerly of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012, in Four Winds Community, Jackson, Ohio. She was born June 9, 1917, in Matwan, W.Va., daughter of the late Benjamin and Etta (Sizemore) Collins.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Othniel Jones, September 7, 1958, and Wayne Phillips, August 10, 1990. Geraldine retired from Gallipolis Developmental Center after working as a nurses aide for several years following employment at Cox’s Department Store, Gallipolis, Ohio.

She is survived by four sons, Tom I. (Loretta) Jones, Jackson, Ohio, Dan I. (Carol) Jones, Point Pleasant, W.Va., John I. (Judy) Jones, Gallipolis, Ohio, and Edward I. (Sandi) Jones, Dublin, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Patty Jones, Gallipolis, Ohio; step-son, Jeffrey (Bridget) Phillips, Bidwell, Ohio; step-daughters, Deanna (Tom) Morgan, of Fla., and Donna Dowler, of Ga.; half sister, Georgina Denney, Payson, Ariz.; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren, several great-step-grandchildren and brother-in-law, Heinrich Keese, Myrtle Beach, S.C.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Newton I. Jones; two grandsons, two great-grandsons, one brother, one sister and three half brothers..

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m., Wednesday November 28, 2012, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio, with Rev. Marvin Sallee officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis, Ohio. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m., on Tuesday at the funeral home.
